I also know, as would many of you, that she would have denied any responsibility for your praise, and would have passed the credit to the students who earned success. That is who she was. Mrs. Lamb,
I feel bad, but we haven't talked in years, I want you to know that i am doing well in college, and you of course had something to do with this. For a small woman you had a very large presence, and of course I was to scared to get into any kind of trouble at Sagamore Hill or Alice Carlson. I know that you will be missed greatly as you touched peoples lives no matter where you went. My heartfelt sorrow goes to your family. Thanks for everything.

My deapest sympathy to Maria's family. The news came to me by mail this morning. I am very sadden by her death. She was one of the very special person I have met in my life. I admired her intelligence, kindness and sincerity. Now God brought her back to him after a well accomplished life!

It's all been said already and it's all so true! The world has lost an incredible force and an amazing person who inspired me when I started teaching and will continue to inspire me throughout my life. My heart is heavy with sadness and she will be missed tremendously. Thoughts and prayers are with you guys, Scott and John, as you somehow make peace.

May God bless you Scott, John and your family on your loss of Maria. May you take comfort in knowing that her loving spirit will be with you always and that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Maria was an inspiration to all she met and worked with. Our children's education, both academically and culturally, benefited from Maria's influence. Alice Carlson Applied Learning Center would not be what it is today without her vision and dedication. May you find comfort in your faith and the prayers of many friends in Texas. We remember Maria with love and affection.
