With heavy hearts, we mourn the loss of Maria Luisa Lara, who passed into God’s hands on Thursday, April 17th, 2025, at 10:46 p.m., at the age of 83 years young. Luisa was an elegant, extraordinary, hardworking, and strong woman with the biggest heart. She spent her life caring for others in the most tender way and with the purest love, through her career as a nurse assistant and caregiver.
She dedicated her life to working and bettering herself so she could be the rock of her family. Luisa helped everyone around her without hesitation, from the person on the street asking for change to every friend and family member facing hardship. She opened her heart and home to everyone she met. Every cell in her body and mind radiated love and a willingness to help others.
Luisa was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, friend and an example to many. She leaves behind her siblings Hijinio, Elvira and Alicia, her daughter Lucy, son Hugo and grandchildren Ana Luisa, Ione, Christian and Elias. She was full of love, joy, humor, and warmth, able to laugh through almost anything. She was an inspiration, motivation for us all to be better, and the super glue that held our family together.
In addition, Luisa was an exemplary Catholic, devoted to her church and its community. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a woman who loved unconditionally, who danced and laughed through every circumstance.
