Not sure what to say?

Dear Aldo and Laura,
I so appreciated the spunk that Maria had. She always had an opinion and whether I agreed with her or not, I loved the fact that she stood up for what she believed in. I also think that behind that tough exterior was a heart of gold. There will never be another Maria!

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. I worked with Maria many, many years ago but, I will never forget how she could make me laugh.

I will never forget how Maria treated my little boy in pre-school. He is now 20 years old. His first experience with education was with Maria and I thank God for that! She loved every single child as if they were her own. I am so sorry for your loss!

Dear Aldo and Laura
Maria will always be remembered as a wonderful teacher and a wonderful colleague. He help and support helped many of us in our early days in teaching, so she touched the lives or not only her students but those of other teachers as well. I pray God will comfort you in your grief.

My deepest sympathies are with you, Laura, during this very tough time. I'll never forget your mother's endless stories, and her infectious laugh and smile. She was truly an amazing woman, and you're set to take all the lessons she's taught you and put them to work as you pursue your graduate education. I am so sorry that I couldn't make it to pay my respects, but please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. Do NOT hesitate to call/e-mail if you need ANYTHING. Love ya,...

Dear Aldo, Laura and Family,

John and I were so sad to her of Maria's sudden passing. These past few days have brought to mind all the fond memories our families shared at the cottage, birthdays, weddings and New Year's Eve parties.

Maria could just energize a room with her infectious laugh and smile. She was one of the best story tellers we have ever known; especially when she would talk about her students. Teaching was definitely Maria's calling. She is going to be greatly...

DEAR ALDO AND LAURA I CANNOT EVEN BEGIN TO TO TELL YOU HOW VERY SORRY I AM FOR YOUR LOSS. I HOPE THAT SOMEDAY YOU WILL BE ABLE TO FIND PEACE IN KNOWING HOW MUCH SHE LOVED YOU BOTH ,AND HOW VERY PROUD OF YOU SHE WAS LAURA. YOU MUST CONTINUE YOUR EDUCATION AND FULFILL YOUR DREAMS SHE WANTED THAT FOR YOU. CATHY

On behalf of the Western Zone of the New York State Retired Teachers' Association (NYSRTA), sympathy and prayers are extended. In Maria's memory, a donation will be made to the Robert DeCormier Fund of NYSRTA, which assists retired educators in need. May she rest in peace!

Maria was my friend for over 40 years, back to her "work-study" days at Buff State. My summer visits back to Buffalo will never be the same without my lunch date with her. How she regaled us with stories of her beloved husband and daughter. I will miss her very much. Aldo and Laura, what a great loss for you.
