Not sure what to say?

My thoughts are with you, the family, and I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Mrs. MacFarland and Rosemarie when I was a student at Dentsville High School. I did not take German (my brother, Terry, was one of her students) but always thought her to be great lady and teacher. I know Mrs. MacFarland will be missed and remembered for her many contributions to education. She always went the extra mile for her students.

Rosemmary,
Sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. I was not the best German student, but enjoyed having her for a teacher. Best wishes to you and your family in coping with your loss. I hope you are still putting your beautiful voice to good use.
Barbara Young Morrison

My deepest sympathies are for those who grieve Frau MacFarlane' s loss. She was one of my favorite teachers at Dentsville HS '62-69. I remember fondly our "field" trips to the German Restaurants in Columbia. She was a great lady who survived through horrific times. Marc Huneycutt DHS '69.

On behalf of the Spring Valley High School alumni group members on Facebook, please accept our condolences. Students have mentioned her with great fondness in previous years and new stories are surfacing now. We'll be thinking of the extended family in the coming weeks.

Best regards,

My deepest sympathies. Mrs. MacFarlane taught me German at Spring Valley High School. I have found memories of Mrs. MacFarlane and thought of her often. She was a special person and teacher.

Frau MacFarlane is the Grandmother I never had. I had four wonderful years of German with her at Spring Valley High School. I spent the day of her memorial remembering just how good she was to me in very deeply personal ways. Here is my tribute to her...http://wp.me/p26EZ0-R.
Love and Light to all who mourn and celebrate a wonderful, wonderful woman.

Dear Rose and family, It has been many years since I last saw you, but I do remember your mom and know what a special person she was and how much you will miss her. Please accept my love and wishes for comfort in your loss.

My deepest sympathies go out to the family. She was my German teacher when I was in high school. Everyone loved her in that class. My prayers are with the family as they grieve and adjust to their loss.

I knew Marlu at Petersen Presbyterian Church many years ago. Now she's with Jesus and happier than she's ever been. I do know the family she leaves behind will miss her terribly and you are in my prayers.
