Remembering Maria
The precious child bubbling over with the sheer joy of being a child. Giggling and catching rides on her fathers feet. The teen, friendly, beautiful, vivacious and with the same outgoing personality and cheerfulness of her childhood. Finally the young adult I met again by a chance encounter, in 1992. The beauty unchanged, with the same sweet spirit of her childhood, and a million dollar smile. That trademark smile and the sweetness of her spirit will not be forgotten....

I first met Maria through my best friend Karen. Karen & I were 11 years old when we met on the 1st day of 7th grade at McKemy Middle School, and were fast friends from the moment we met... My first memory of meeting Maria was the first time I went home after school with Karen & I met her whole family, Maria was one of the most beautiful girls that I had ever seen, both on the inside & the outside!!! She always had time for us kids, even though she was constantly on the go.... She taught us...
