Maria D. Salazar

Maria D. Salazar, age 96, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2009 at a local hospital with her family by her side. She was born on December 28, 1912 in Lampasas, Mexico. She was also a member of the Altar and Rosary Society at San Martin de Porres for many years. She is preceded in death by her daughter; Graciela Zarate Salazar. She is survived by beloved husband: Nicolas Salazar; daughters; Ana Maria Garza, Gloria Alicia Escobedo, Son; Jose Luis Romero, Grandchildren; Veronica (Joe) White, Guillermo (Rosie) Garza, Jr., Elizabeth Marie Alegria, Valerie J. (Carlos) Holguin, Dr. Carlos Romero, Adriana D. (Troy) Montgomery, Alberto (Claire) Escobedo, Jr. and Rigoberto Escobedo; and 13 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be: Guillermo Garza Jr., Joe M. White, Alberto Escobedo Jr., Carlos Holguin, Dr. Carlos Romero, Charles J. White, and Carlos Romo. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Guillermo S. Garza, Jorge Ortiz, III, Rigoberto Escobedo, Jr., Dagoberto Escobedo, Sabas Escobedo, Arcadio Alegria, III, and Rigoberto Escobedo, Sr. We would like to give special thanks to Angela and Minerva for the special care given to our mother.
