Oh, John... and the whole family. I am so sorry. Maria was an amazing human. She made such an impression from the very first time I met her. The world was better for having her and a lesser place now.

Maria Sparmer was a truly remarkable professor and mentor. She taught with grace, kindness, and love, giving her heart to every lesson and to every student she guided. She inspired me deeply and will always remain one of the best teachers I have ever known. Her legacy of compassion and wisdom will live on through the countless lives she touched. Rest in peace, Maria, you will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
