My grandmother told me the story's of when she lived in Stowe Vt and the Vontrapps moved across the road from her and her family "Shelby Maria is my god mother" she showed me all the pictures of them and stuff Maria sent My grandma, Well at least I got to hear all the beautiful storys you two did Rest In Peace Maria with all my love

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Maria von Trapp. There are few people who impact so many people in such a powerful, positive way. I asked my husband this afternoon, "How do you love someone so much that you don't even know?" The answer popped into my head: "It happens when they make you feel as if you are a part of their family!"
