I saw her walking every day and she could not have been nicer. She always stopped to say hello and never failed to talk about her daughter. You could tell how proud she was of her. She made the neighborhood - impersonal and distant - feel like a real neighborhood should: Friendly and connected. Not many people are capable of instantly lifting your spirits, but she was one such person, and I will miss seeing her.
