I admired Marian so much! It's why I profiled her in my new book about Omaha women. She contributed so much and like all Nebraska Press Women members, I'm especially grateful that she endowed our Women's Journalism Hall of Fame.

Marian was one of a kind: smart, generous and kind. She will be missed.

In the short time that I new your Mother/Grandmother/Sister/Aunt I knew I was so very blessed to have had her friendship. She was an amazing woman. I will never forget the mornings at Brookestone Rehab where I first met her delivering the OWH. We had such wonderful conversations and that friendship continued on outside Brookestone with many phone calls and lunch. My thoughts are with you all in this time of sorrow. Thank you for sharing her with me. Sincerely, Colleen Toner
