Marian Bac Obituary
Marian J. Bac passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Jefferson Health Hospice in Warminster at the age of 74 after a long battle with cancer.
Born in Hudson County NJ, the daughter of the late Marion (Sigsbury) and John Bode, Marian grew up in North Bergen, NJ and has been a long time resident of Lower Bucks County.
Marian met her husband at a dance in Princeton, NJ and they were married for 48 years.
A graduate in Music Education from Trenton State College and later on earning her Masters Degree, Mrs. Bac spent her career teaching elementary vocal music in New Jersey School Districts and in the Bristol Township School District. She was a wonderful classical pianist and loved working with children.
Mrs. Bac truly loved drum and bugle corps the most. She loved playing her horn alongside her daughter throughout her life. She was a horn player in the Lambertville Volunteers, Archer Epler Musketeers, Riley Raiders, and Reading Buccaneer Alumni Drum and Bugle Corps. She loved performing with all of her friends.
Beloved wife of John J. Bac, Marian is the loving mother of Meredith Bac (Robert Weik) and John Bac; and is the dear sister of John Bode (Naida) and the late Mildred.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, services and interment will be held privately.

I remember Marian on support staff during the 90 and 91 summer tours, and I thought she was just a wonderful person--so caring and giving. Merry and family, I am sorry for your loss.

I'm sure you are sitting in a special place in heaven. I have so many amazing memories of all the years that we played music with our amazing kids and friends. Every day was a gift and you were so blessed to have your beautiful daughter by your side. You will be remembered fondly by your entire Drum Corps Family and you will never be forgotten.

Marian Bac,,Rest in Peace my friend. Heaven has just inherited one special Lady. Having met you through the world of drum corps it was a great honor knowing you. Seeing your smile and your presence at those Sunday rehearsals was worth coming to those practices. You fought a hard and tough battle for the last year and a half against a illness that many have also endured. You will be missed by many and especially me.

Marion you will be missed in so many ways by so many friends and family. Your courage through all you health issues was truly amazing and without realizing just how much you influenced others with your strength. The love you had for playing the horn, being in drum corps and being with friends traveling with Merry all over was great. You left your children and your husband with wonderful memories of a good woman, mom, wife, a friend.....Charlie loved her as I did.

My deepest condolences go out to my Best Friend, Merry Bac and her entire family. Marian was a beautiful and deeply passionate soul, with a warm and friendly demeanor. Marian (sis, as we called her) had been a wonderful friend and we shared our appreciation for music, drum and bugle corps, and real things that mattered. She will always be our my heart and we'll carry wonderful memories with us always. Our profound sympathies go out to her husband, Jack; daughter, Merry; and son, John. We miss you already, sis! From Donna and I, most sincere condolences to Merry and her entire family... It's been our Honor and Blessing to have known Marion and being included in her very long list of friends. Always met you with a smile on her face and warm hug. I greatly enjoyed "following" you in parades! (I drove the chase vehicle behind the Corps, while Donna and I were with the Reilly Raiders Alumni Corps and then Reading Buccaneers Alumni Corps.

To Marian's family.
Every time we play our horns, Marion will be on our minds. She was one of the happiest people we have ever meant. Loved watching her wheel her scooter down the road and play her horn at the same time. Only Marian could do this. In watching the parade in Plymouth, MA one year I heard people comment about how she handled her scooter and played at the same time. Comment was - "only a woman could do that". They were right. Marian will always be a special person in our hearts. Okay drum corps members in heaven, Marian is on her way up. Make room.

Marian Bac was a good friend that I have known for over 31 years. I first met her @ Archer Epler post when she & Merry came out & joined Archie . She was just a wonderful lady who would brighten up any room that she was in. A very talented musician who was willing to help anyone with their music. Marian you were a beautiful soul inside and out. It breaks my jersey to hear of your passing. I’m so glad one summer day I met you while parents were visiting the kids of Crossmen and we all just started chatting and eventually became friends for life. I will honor your memory with the Crossmen through a donation and your memory will live on forever.
