Clymer Funeral Home Cremations - Palm Coast Obituary

A memorial service for Marian Stella Corgiat, 93, of Palm Coast, FL, who passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2023, will be held at Clymer Funeral Home & Cremations on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will be held before the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Clymer Funeral Home.

Marian was born on July 15, 1929, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Leon Michalak and Stella Spejna. She was a graduate of Mackenzie High School, class of 1947, and a member of Our Savior Polish National Catholic Church. Marian married John Corgiat on February 20, 1960, in Detroit, MI. One of her first jobs was at the ticket window of the Stanley Theater in Detroit. In those days you could get dinner plates and silverware along with your movie ticket. She later worked in one of the many offices of The Detroit Institute of Technology. She also worked for Dr. Stillman DDS in Dearborn, MI for many years. She held various secretarial positions through the years. Her last job was with Duraline Systems in Romulus, MI, where she retired in 2006, at the age of 77.

Marian enjoyed tending to the flowers she had planted around her home. She had quite a “green thumb.” She also loved going to bingo and the casinos in the area, where she was often quite lucky. When she didn’t win, she would always say, “I’ll have to go back and visit my money.” She was also an avid reader.

Marian is survived by her daughter, Michele Lowe and her husband David; 3 grandchildren, Amber Crumbley and her husband Jason, Ali Lowe, Jaime Lowe; 2 great grandchildren, Ayden Crumbley and Ryley Crumbley.

Marian was preceded in death by her siblings, Edmund Michalak, Millie Poniatowski, Teddy Michalak, Rosalie Dutcher and Helen Anderson.

Besides her family, the one who will miss her the most is, her best friend Marge Kalota. Their lives couldn’t have been more different, but they remained friends for over 76 years.

Memorial donations may be made in Marian’s name to: Our Savior Polish National Catholic Church, 610 N. Beech Daly Rd, Dearborn, MI 48127 or the Alzheimer’s Association @ alz.org.

The family of Mrs. Corgiat entrusted her arrangements to Clymer Funeral Home & Cremations.

Not sure what to say?

We are so sad for your loss. It is the hardest for those who are left behind. We believe she is celebrating in Heaven with Our Father and without pain. May she rest in God's loving arms and May our wonderful Father watch over all of you during this difficult time.
Tom and I wish we could be there but we are unable to be there physically but we are there in thoughts and prayers.
Everytime I go to see Matt and family I remember all those times in Frankenmuth. Michele I thank you and...

Marion was always happy to see me. I loved receiving her Christmas cards. I still have a Christmas ornament that she gave me many years ago. She will be missed by her family and friends. Rest in piece Marion.
