Not sure what to say?

Can't believe that she's been gone that long. I pray all is well with the family. God Bless

To the Hymes Family,
Your mother was a friend and inspiration to the staff of the African American Resource Center of the New Orleans Public Library. We had the opportunity to host a couple of her plays at our library, but it was a bigger joy just to see her. She would drop by the AARC on many occassions. I last saw her at a graduation on the westbank and she informed me that she was still producing plays in Maryland. She shared a newspaper clipping with me of her work there and I was so...

TO THE FAMILY, YOUR MOTHER WAS A LADY WHO KNEW THE LORD AND TRUSTED IN HIS WORD. SHE NOT ONLY TALK THE TALK SHE LIVED IT. SO TAKE YOUR REST MRS MARIAN YOU HAVE LEFT THIS WORLD A BETTER PLACE AND WE ALL WILL MISS YOU. PEACE AND LOVE TO THE FAMILY(MICHAEL & SYLVIA PRICE)

To Terrance, Trinace and the rest of the family;

We were sorry to hear of the death of Marian Hymes. I remember the many times that our children-Adriene, Valerie and Johnny were a part of the "regional". The talent that was found in that group was unforgettable. In later years, Marian was a blessing to our youngest son Christopher when he attended Dillard.
Our church-Free Mission- also performed some of her plays. She was a beautiful Christian and it was a pleasure to have known...

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

To Terrance and Family, God bless you all and keep you. I've always loved Ms. Hymes esspecailly while I was at Dillard University. Ms. Hymes took good care of me even before she realized who I was. I thank God for sending Ms. Hymes my way. Your mother was an inspiration for me and other young women attending Dillard University. Ms. Hymes will surely be missed. Love All of You!!!!
