Not sure what to say?

Lynne, I'm so sorry for your loss. I just learned of her passing. My heart goes out to you. I have many fond memories of Marian and my grandparents skating stories. She was an amazing teacher to so many of us both on and off the ice.

Marian was the backbone of figure skating in Worcester for many years, her contributions to to the sport were countless. As you can see from other comments she was loved by her students. Marian left them with much more than skating skills.

Mrs. Lord was my skating teacher at Webster Square from 1963 until about 1969 and then again over at Lake Ave in the early '70s. I alsolutely adored her. She used to skate behind me holding onto my braids. I was so proud. She really holds a special spot in my heart and even though I never even came close to my childhood dreams of becoming a skater as elegant as she was, I will never forget her kindness and the love she showed towards me and all her students.

Anna Gebelein...

Rest in peace Aunt Marian. I hope you are skating in heaven and back in the loving arms of your family.

Mrs. Lord was my skating teacher. I loved her! She was so kind and patient. Rest In Peace.

Thank you to Mrs. Lord for all the happy hours of figure skating and the lifelong memories. I carried your lessons throughout my life.

Marian was a long time neighbor. May she now Rest In Peace in her new home.
