It is still Summer 2020. This is the time of year when I remember your passing August 13 and Dad's passing June 4th. I think Summer and Fall are the best times of the year so it was unfortunate when this was the case, the years you passed away. Nevertheless, both of you lived long, relatively healthy lives. You had the opportunity to live in: the Midwest of CA, the South of the US (Miami, FL), and the Pacific Northwest. Not bad. This year you have missed a pandemic, COVID-19, serious...

Last night Gilly and I celebrated what would have been your 99th birthday by a night out in Vancouver. We had a lovely dinner at Cavo and later enjoyed a Broadway Show Tune concert at the Orphium Theater. Rest in peace.

I just learned something today. The Mariana Islands in the North Pacific are named after the Austrian Queen Mariana. The spelling is somewhat different but possibly grandma, Justine, was aware of this queen when she chose this name for you, mom?
