Marianna Screnci Obituary
Sept. 20, 1921 – January 6, 2012
On Friday January 6, 2012 Marianna Screnci peacefully passed away with her children around her. Marianna was predeceased by her husband Giovanni and son Vittorio. Loving mother of Saverio, Raffaele, Pantaleone (Federica), Caterina, Rocco (Teresa), Maria, Teresa (Peter). Loving grandmother of 21 grandchildren and 12 great grand children. The family would like to thank Villa Colombo's staff for their assistance for the past 3 weeks, Elizabeth Bastillo, Marianna's caregiver for the past 2 ½ years. Eileen, Criselda and all caregivers from Paramed for assisting with Marianna's care over the past 7 years. Family and friends may visit at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 1141 St. Clair Avenue West (one block east of Dufferin) on Sunday from 2-9pm. The funeral mass will be on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 10:30am at St. Clare's Catholic Church (1118 St. Clair Avenue West). Entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery (on Bathurst Street, north of Finch Avenue). In lieu of flowers donations to Alzheimer's/Dementia Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

We were very sorry to hear of your mother's passing. She was one great lady. We were neighbours for many, many years and we will miss her smile and hospitality.
Bill also mentioned that one tradition he always looked forward to was the the sound of breaking glass on the sidewalk to bring in the new year.
