One year has quickly passed; however, last night, "your baby" (Chloe) and I prayed, gave thanks for the memories, we cried and we also laughed. I told Chloe and she agreed how fortunate we were to have those memories with you because memories are the best....she remembers with vivid detail the routines you both shared, the weekly trips to the base, mall.....the every morning calls. All of your beautiful grandchildren have lost a very special woman. The young lady that was the first grandchild and made love radiate off of you has your gentleness and quiet strength. I want you all to know that it was an HONOR for me to have known your mother. She was a very thoughtful and loving person that loved her family and everyone around her. I am so sorry that she is gone but she is not hurting any more. She will always be with you all in your hearts. It has been such a long time since I have seen your mother. I remember how she welcomed me into your home and treated me like one of her children. I moved away at such a young age, but what an impression she made on me! I have a couple of very vivid memories that really make me smile. I am sorry to hear that Marianne has passed. I have always had a great deal of respect for her. She was a very strong minded,determend,independent woman. She was very proud of her German roots and customes. She also had no problem letting her oppinnion and feellings on things being known. Above all she loved and was very proud of her family. I know she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. I know that she is in a better place and will be watching over her beloved family and friends....
