Marianne Gutteridge passed away on March 30, 2019 in Seattle, Washington. The obituary was featured in The Seattle Times on May 5, 2019.
Mrs. Gutteridge was my high school instructor in 1974 - 1977. She instilled in me to do well with my English. She and I co-founded the high school newsletter called the "Hearing Impaired Club". It was so much fun. She has always been on my mind. I'm sorry she passed away. I wished I had seen her so I could have thanked her for being an influence. She will be sorely missed.

It is with sadness that Dick and I heard of Marianne's passing. We hadn't seen her smiling face walking by our house for some time now. She always stopped and talked with me while I was out in the yard gardening. She was such an interesting and encouraging woman.
Please accept our sympathies and condolences. Our hearts to out to her family.
