Marianne Jean Michaux

Marianne was one of the first Christian women to invest in me. A couple of years my junior, she was far older (and more mature) than I was spiritually. She recognized my need and willingness for a mentor, and she jumped in with both feet. She spent time with me one-on-one weekly for a couple of years; she taught my daughters to play piano. Oh this dear precious one! She was one of my first mentors and we shared a lifetime of sweet friendship! The Lord has become her reward and I just rejoice with her! Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Marianne was my voice student, and had a beautiful voice! I really loved her and will miss her very, very much. She was such a lovely person and a good, loving friend to me. But now she is in her twenties and still singing in heaven! I first met her when I was 13 years old and she was 22 years old, in 1968, when she was my counselor at Camp Elim Trail camp. The woman whose class I was afraid to be in when I entered the 5th grade, quickly became my favorite teacher, and she has remained so for the duration of my life.

Miss Michaux was my fourth grade teacher at CSCS and I remember memorizing multiplication tables and lots of Bible verses as well as being encouraged to love reading...
