Not sure what to say?

I have many lovely and deeply emotional memories of playing violin under the remarkable and intuitive baton of Fritz Wallenberg. At times, Mrs Wallenberg was our guest soloist giving a very fine and expressive interpretation of the work played.
Mrs. Wallenberg was also my violin teacher and mentor at SUNY Binghamton 1965-1967. She was patient and channeled her expertise in a subtle manner that made one try harder to perform to her expectations.
Over these many years, I think of...

Katherine and family,

Please accept my condolences for the recent loss of your Mother who certainly was a remarkable person. I enjoyed recent years when you described the various activities of "Mom" as she stayed fully engaged in her life and yours. Reading your beautiful recap of her life shows how interesting and full it was.

I was fortunate to have studied violin with Mrs. Wallenberg for over a decade in the 1980s and early '90s. Her clear guidance, musical insight, and constant support not only gave me a solid foundation as a musician, but also stay with me today in many endeavors. She cared deeply about all her students, and was always so proud to hear that many continue to be involved in music. The Wallenbergs brought so many musical gifts to the Binghamton area, which have left an indelible mark on the...

Mrs. Wallenberg was my beloved violin teacher until I graduated HS in 1990. She once told me something I've never forgotten: if she could live her life over again, she'd do everything the same, with only one exception-she would also learn to play piano. Her influence on me has been profound. What great adventures she had, and all without any regrets. She will always be remembered with deepest admiration and respect.

I was very fortunate to study violin with Mrs. Wallenberg for a few years during high school in the late 1970's and early 1980's. She was an excellent instructor, helping me to navigate classical works in my own way, and I learned a lot about natural talent from her. She helped me to become the best musician I could be, in the warmth of her home. I was very saddened to hear of her passing, and I send my deepest condolences to her family. Mr & Mrs Wallenberg were a wonderful gift to the...

I was saddened to learn of Marianne's passing . She loved her students and we shared many interesting discussions about teaching and the lifelong influence music teachers can have. I will never forget the Bach Cantata evenings at their home and Marianne's famous chicken liver pate. I hope she gave the recipe to her children for she would not give it out to all her friends who requested it. With a grin, she would say "Everyone needs to have a secret recipe!" Polly Feitzinger

Mrs. Wallenberg was my teacher for 11 years. Her memory for details was remarkable. One of my most vivid memories was when she came with my parents and me to shop for my violin when I was 14. We should all strive to live such a full and beautiful life. I visited Mrs. Wallenberg recently when my twins were only few months old. So wonderful to see that she became a grandmother to twins. My deepest condolences to Jim, Katherine and all your family.

Dear family, It was my privelege to get to know Marianne, read her book and be her chaplain here at Saint Louise. God bless,
Rev. Janet Abel

I fondly remember taking violin lessons with Mrs. Wallenberg, she pushed me in the right directions and I will never forget her. My deepest condolences to her family and close friends.
