Not sure what to say?

On behalf of President Alissa DeJonge and the entire Mercy High School community, we offer our deepest sympathy to the family, friends, and former students of our beloved Ms. Grassi. Thank you for the joys, jokes, lessons, and laughter you shared with so many. May our prayers comfort those Marie leaves behind: Ann, Rachele, Thomas, and all her loved ones.

Almighty and eternal God, from whose love in Christ we cannot be parted, either by death of life, hear our prayers and...

I had the pleasure of being a co-worker of Marie for the 28 years I taught at Mercy. She loved her students, her work, and her co-workers. Compassion and love oozed from her. She lived her faith. Perhaps now she is enjoying days with Freddie, her little dog. My deepest sympathy to Ann and Marie's entire family. We will all miss her.

It gladdens my heart to read about the impact Marie had on so many. She was a loving sister, a dedicated and passionate teacher with a great sense of humor and a heart of gold, always ready to lend a hand to anyone. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and unforgettable memories. Rachele Grassi Hunter

Rest in peace Ms. Grassi, you were an incredible religion teacher and spread so much joy and kindness to all you touched. ❤

I have great memories of Ri Ri when we all were stationed in St. Louis. She was always so much fun! A lovely Christian woman My condolences to family and Ann.

My deepest sympathy to Cella and Marie's family. They are my cousins. Prayerfully, Sr. Rosemary Buttice

Miss Grassi was a pivotal mentor and guide during my spiritual formation and helped make me the practitioner and spiritual leader I am today, for which I am ever grateful. I am going to be traveling to CT and in the area and will be attending on Saturday morning. If a professional cantor, chorus member or soloist is needed for the service, please feel free to contact me and I will be happy to offer my services, or if someone is willing to pass along this message to the organizers. I can be...

Back around 2012, we would ask Ms. Grassi how she was, and she would always say "Juuussstttt chipper!" I think of her every time I tell someone that I am "juuussstttt chipper!"
Thank you for always being so positive and loving. You're a gem!
