Not sure what to say?

I knew Marie for a short time only, but I'm truly grateful for that time. She made me believe that we can age gracefully, cheerfuly, and full of life. My daughter thought she was extrodinary...a person who was able to cope with everything life might ask of her, and I can only hope I live to be the same kind of person. Thanks, Marie, for giving all of us an example of how we should live our lives. You were AMAZING!!!

Love, Ann Marie

I was so shocked to see my dear and oldest friends obit. When I say oldest not only in age but she was the first friend I had in CT. I just had lunch with her a few weeks ago and she looked amazing. I can't feel sad as she lived such an amazing life filled with friends and fun. She also had an amazing family that gave her so much love and support, she always told me that Benty was always with her now she can be with him. My love goes out to all of you.

Auntie Merle and Mr. Bent were such great friends with my parents and our my family growing up that I remember trips to Provincetown to ride their boat, visits to Riverview Road and talks with Auntie Merle. You were so very blessed to have her as a mother and friend all of these years. God Bless all of You and especially Auntie Merle. Love Cindy Kalencik Pitts

She was always known as Auntie Merle to us. I'm so sad to hear about her passing. I had the pleasure of picking her up & bringing her to my mom's 75th birthday party 2 years ago. She was amazing! She was pretty much a part of our family my whole life and a dear friend to my mom since the late 1950's & I'm pretty sure she influenced my name. God Bless Auntie Merle, you were one of a kind!

I have so many cherished memories of Provincetown family vacations as a child. I was thrilled to stumble across Mrs. B in the late 90's while back at P town for a visit. Heaven has welcomed another angel and I'm betting our Dads are still trying to figure out how to get kids to want to learn while our Moms are encouraging them.

To Mrs. Bent's friends and family, especially my classmate Steven, my sympathy on your loss.
