May God comfort your hearts each day during this difficult time.
2 Thessalonians 2:17

To the family of Marie Boyd I would like to express my condolences to you and may you receive the comfort that God can give as He put his right hand out to you Isa.41:10.13

Thank You Sister, Sister Marie Madeleine gave me the incredible gift of looking outside of myself, to reach out to others in need, to fight for the bullied, the disenfranchised, the hopeless. I will never forget my experience with Students Concerned with Public Health. The training I received as a member of this group was invaluable and I have called on that training many times throughout my life. Hooray for Sister Marie Madeleine, who believed that we could make a difference.

I am just one of the thousands of lives that were saved by the Shalom program that she started in 1973 and directed for almost 40 yeas. I was also honored to have the opportunity to work for Shalom, Inc from 1984-2016 at Little Flower HS and in the grade schools. At the home, I asked her how she would like to be remembered and she said as a kind person...do you think I was kind? I said that she was ONE OF A KIND....she was the change she wanted to see in the world and so many people are in...

Sister was my Art teacher (1960) A Beautiful woman with the sweetest personality. I met her years later at one of our reunions and couldn't get over how she remembered my name. We had a lovely conversation. May she RIP. She is now in the company of Our Lord and His Mother. Pray for us Sister.

My deepest sympathy go out to the family of Sister Marie Madeleine. I came to know Sister at Saint Maria Goretti High School in Philadelphia, PA. Sister had a tough job - disciplinarian in an all-girl school with over 3,000 students. Her one word, GIRLS! - stopped us in our tracks and yet you knew she would support you in whatever you needed. Rest in peace dear lady; your influence in so many lives will be remembered fondly. Karen DiFrancesco-Piazza, SMG, '72.
