When she wasn’t working, Marie’s greatest joy came from gathering her family and friends together. She loved hosting dinners and celebrations, always ensuring that no one ever left hungry or unloved. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth, its walls lovingly adorned with photos of her children, grandchildren, and friends, each image a cherished story.

Not sure what to say?

Mrs. Calixe was my mom and I am saddened by her passing. A woman of extraordinary faith, love, character, and integrity. My deepest memories are derived from our time in Haiti where everyday was great and Christmas was a thing. Her house was the place to be during the holidays. Her kindness and energy flows through her children. I thank all the children for being there for my family. Some of my fondest memories are from my time residing in the Calixe household. I love you mom and I love you...
