My Aunt Marie was more than just my aunt and my confirmation Godmother.

She was a woman who showed great courage when faced with raising three children on her own. She was a single parent long before half of the American population. Her ability to stretch dinners for her family, and any one else who happened to be at her house, was an incredible feat! It was a mystery how she worked all week and then functioned so well on the weekends.

Aunt Marie, you were one of God’s special gifts to many people. We will always remember you for your enthusiasm for life, your humor and wit and especially your generosity.

We will remember our summer vacations when you welcomed us to your home with Jack, Marie T, Jo and Uncle Frank. Your kitchen was always well stocked with sweet rolls, pastries, doughnuts and other bakery goods…and all the other things a kid would love.
