I was just thinking about Marie and Michele the other day. Imagine my expression upon reading of her passing. Marie was a wonderful person, kind and loving. Always with a smile and a good word. My parents used to read and interpret the letters she would receive from Michele when they were corresponding before he came from Italy and swept her off her feet! She would dictate her response and mom and dad would write back to him. My thoughts and prayers are with you Michele, and your daughters...

Marie is now standing inside the Gates with her warming gaze to welcome anyone who comes.

When my mother died, Marie became my mom, no longer just mother-in-law. I loved to gossip with her - after crocheting, I think this was her favorite pass-time, at least with me.

Truly, Marie was a woman whose name will be spoken forever for the goodness she had inside and smile she had outside. As my mom used to say when I was a child "you can tell the good eggs just by looking."
