Marie Gildein (nee Crowe) passed peacefully on October 30th, 2024.
 
She was a devoted wife of 63 years to Walter Gildein. Loving mother of Marie Schriver (Dean), Lori Costello (Tom) and Arlene Valentino (Albert).
 
Dearest grandmom of Krystle (Craig), Jimmy (Karen), Kevin (Alexis), Samantha (Patrick), Albert and Nicolina.  Great Grandmother of Kevin, Lilah, Sophia, Patrick, Christian, Ava, Melina, Sydney, Kevin, Lilly, Ryan, Holly and soon to arrive, James. She is predeceased by her 3 brothers Tommy, Bobby and Raymond. Marie was also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. 
 
Marie was a registered nurse for 25 years at Einstein Medical Center and Inglis House in Philadelphia.
 
Her greatest pride and joy in life was her family - Sunday family dinners, celebrations and holidays.  She dearly loved and was overly generous with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She will be greatly missed.  
 
Relatives and friends are invited to Marie’s viewing and Life Celebration at Burns Funeral Home (9708 Frankford Ave, Philadelphia, PA  19114) on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 10:30AM-12:00PM, followed by her Funeral Service. Interment is private.
