Not sure what to say?

I only recently heard of Marie's death and her preceding illness, and was shocked and saddened beyond words. Her vitality and joy will always live on in my heart, she was a dear friend, and I deeply regret that we lost touch over the years. To her whole family, and in particular to Steve, whom I knew well from Hampshire, and also to Ben and Sam, whom I knew only as babies, I offer my very deepest condolences. I think of Marie often, and will remember you as well in my thoughts and prayers.

Historic Northampton sends its deepest sympathies to the family of Marie Hershkowitz. It was a pleasure to work with her on a fundraiser for the museum and even though it was 21 years ago, her professionalism and way with people are still remembered.

I am stunned to learn of Marie's early death, I truly expected and wish she had lived to a very old age. As the only woman Stephen ever truly loved, and a great Mother and friend and acquaintance to many in the Hampshire community and elsewhere, her loss is difficult to grasp. My sincere condolences.

Just heard of the passing of Marie. Such a great loss of a beautiful caring sole. It had been years since you had hired me to care for your adopted greyhounds. Peace to your family in your absence and I am happy to have know such a giving sole.

I recently heard through a friend of Marie's passing. The news is stunning. I remember being taken by her warmth, interest, and caring for others. Marie made a definite impression upon me - one I won't soon forget. God certainly seems to be calling home some of his forces of nature... Blessings to the family.

Marie was one of those rare people that had the ability to touch ever life she encountered. She was a special human being and it saddens me that there is one less significant person on this earth. I was Marie's personal trainer at the Northampton Athletic Club. I trained her for over a year and when I heard of her passing I was just as upset as I was for my grandmother. That is how strong her spirit was and still is. She will always be remembered in my heart.

On behalf of all the people living with HIV/AIDS, volunteers, and staff who were blessed with Marie's grace and spirit through her volunteer work at AIDS CARE/Hampshire County, we send our deepest sympathies and thanks to her family who generously shared her with us.
