Not sure what to say?

I often listen to jazz artist, Alison Moyet, and her voice brings me back to hearing Mrs. Pattison singing in church. Only last week did I watch a movie where "Lord, I Know You Are Near" was played in a church scene. During the chorus, I could hear the beautiful counter-melody that Nancy would sing over it. It brought tears to my eyes to the point that I could barely see. My wife of 24 years, sitting next to me, didn't understand why I was so moved, since she wasn't the part of my life that...

It's hard to believe 10 years have past since we lost our high school English teacher, Sunday School Headmaster and church organist. I can still hear her voice singing behind me in church and feel her tapping my shoulder to sing, while I was a boy. I fondly remember my and my big sister's relationships with Corey and Nancy. She clearly touched my life someway, everyday, for a long time. I shall open my best bottle of wine tonight, and toast to your legacy and the peace you have since found.

I wish I could have attended her funeral. She was my sponsor when I completed my sacrament of confirmation. She guided me as a teacher in Sunday school and helped me get my education to become one of the youngest lecturers for the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She also helped light me in the direction to become a leader to the Jr. Catholic daughters. She always looked out for me and my family. I loved her dearly and miss her greatly.

We were relative newcomers to the Pattison area and Sacred Heart Church 8 to 10 years ago. Marie was among the most welcoming and inclusive members we encountered. We will be forever grateful to her and Joe. We trust she is with the Lord now. God bless her entire family. Kim and Carol Bennetts

May the peace of GOD continue to comfort you all in the days to come.

God Bless the Pattison Family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Mrs. Pattison was a beautiful and caring person. We will miss her dearly. We will never forget her sweet and caring smile. God Bless, John and Lucille Estes and Brenda Williams

To Corrie & the entire Pattison Family,

Trust in the Lord during this time. He is able to be EVERYTHING you need Him to be. He is a "Refuge", "Strong Tower ", "Comforter", "Healer", and He is able to hold you like no one else. Your All are in my thoughts and prayers.

It's hard for me, whenever at Mass, to forget the influence Marie Pattison had on my Catholic education, experience and core values. I enjoyed growing up with Sandra, Beverly and Marie's youngest daughter, Corrie, while under Marie's supervision. Though we didn't always congregate together while in school, we shared a bond under Marie's guidence and inspriration at Sacred Heart from which we can cherish memories for the rest of our lives. Marie was a surrogate mother to all of us at while...
