Our family was blessed to work with Sister Marie Bernard as lector and Eucharistic ministers at Sacred Heart of Jesus in Grand Rapids and witnessed her comforting presence in many important crossroads in our lives. She is surely in God´s presence now.

Sister Marie Bernarde was my first grade teacher at St. Thomas. She had the patience of a saint and was firm but so very caring.

I was very fortunate to have had Sister Marie Bernard when I did my student teaching at St. Thomas School in the 60s. Her very grace, kindness, caring, and loving direction and trust was extremely impressive to me and definitely served me throughout my teaching career. May God grant her eternal rest.

Sr Marie Bernard was my first grade teacher at St Andrew School. That would have been in 1954. She was an amazing teacher! I have always been grateful that I was able to have a gifted, caring person like that as my first teacher in grade school. She made all the difference. Thank you. Love & Light.
