To the family of Marie Swindler! I was one of the BCC Nursing students taking care of Marie once a week at Susquehanna Nursing Home and first of all, my condolences. I am so sorry to hear that Marie had passed. She was so lovely to be with. She really brightened up my day. I would take her for a walk and she told me about walking 5 miles each way for a loaf of bread. She loved to walk and I loved taking her for one. I recall her saying "I can run, wanna see?" My sweet Aunt Marie (Laura Marie Day Swindler). She was my Dad's little sister and the last matriarch of the DAY siblings. She was born December 21, 1914 in Middlebury Twp., Tioga Co., PA. She got her love of reading from her Dad and like the rest of the family had a great sense of rumor. I never saw her lose her temper. She will be missed.
