Not sure what to say?

I was just thinking of Marie the other day, and reflecting on the positive impact she had on my life. I think most of all it was her unconditional acceptance of me as a human being. Another thing that stands out is that she had visited Taize in France and gave me a cassette of the songs/chants sung there by people from all over the world - always thoughtful was Marie, truly one of a kind, and I still miss her.

Marie was, and is, God.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Marie!I entered the convent with Marie and remember giving her my new shoes to break in. Marie was a wonderful person and I am sure our Heavenly Father welcomed her with open arms! My sincere condolences to the Varley family

Sad to learn of Marie's illness & passing. It has been many years but I still remember helping her & Jane move from the big house in Blairstown to Vailsburg, cleaning out the basement, etc. It was a difficult time in my life but getting my "marching orders" from Marie gave it a positive spin, & of course, there was CROP. (I wish I had known about the Step Dancing, Marie, I would have asked for lessons!) What a great smile (that reached up to her eyes) and what a great soul! Save a spot...

I just learned yesterday that God took Marie home, she has been alway a true friend in times of good and bad and her smile and lets get it done, will sorely missed, but we are the better for knowing and having her in our lives. May God bless you Marie.
yours eternally,
Steve N.

Just learned of Marie's passing. She was a great person and a tribute to her education with the Dominicans. I have fond memories of the family from St. John's. My sincere condolences to her family and friends.

An inspiration to all, regardless of creed (or absence of) or orientation.

Our sincere condolences to the Varley family for their loss from the Rebar, Tipton & Laudisi families (past parishioners from Sacred Heart Vailsburg)
