Merritt Funeral Home Obituary

Marienne L. Daniels, 86, of Mendota, passed away June 23, 2022 at Heritage Health, Mendota.
 
Memorial services will be July 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Mendota with Rev. Ken Gibson officiating. Burial will be at Lutheran Cemetery, Mendota. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota is assisting the familly.
 
Marienne was born March 17, 1936 in Mendota to Ralph and Louise (Goebel) Jacob. She married Glen Killen on June 26, 1962. She married Richard Daniels on October 17, 1997. He preceded in death on July 5, 2005.
 
Marienne was a 1954 graduate of Mendota High School. She attended Augustana College and Lutheran Hospital School for Nurses. She worked as a registered nurse for Mendota Community Hospital and Mendota Lutheran Home. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. First female member of Mendota Lions Club and first female President of Mt. Olomana Lions Club in Kailua, Hawaii. She was a former member and past President of Mendota Nurses Club. She was a Mendota Shrine Club Lady and Mendota Museum volunteer.
 
She is survived by her son Michael (Kristi) Killen of Edelstein; grandchildren Jennifer Armstrong, Sarah (Chris) Over, Samantha Killen and Jordan Killen; two great grandchildren Henry Armstrong and Molly Armstrong; niece Julie (Jeffrey Von Wald) Rossate; nephew Jeff (Michelle) Rossate; great niece Kaitlyn Rossate; great nephew Kalvin Rossate and Glen Killen, the father of her son Michael.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister and brother in law Barbara (David) Rossate.
 
Memorials may be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church, Mendota Lions Club, Mendota Area Food Pantry or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
