Kathy and I were good friends with Marilyn and her late husband Rick back in the 60s.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one in death can make us feel so helpless. May you gain strength by pouring out your heart in prayer to God.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loved and deepest condolences are extended to you. Something that's helped me through the death of loved ones is to reflect on 1 Corinthians 15:26.
