My deepest sympathies to the Haggerty and Blohm Family. I worked with Marilyn at Animal Care & Control and got to know her not only as a boss but a friend. She truly loved her family and will be missed.

I worked with Marilyn as the Director for External Affairs at the CACC. In my 20+ years in the non-profit world, I never met a more intelligent, caring, hard-working and loyal Executive Director than Marilyn. Members of her senior staff always knew we could depend on her support and good judgment. She often spoke of her family--her husband, her boys, her parents and her sisters and brothers with love and pride. Although our careers took different paths after we left the CACC, I always...

I first met Marilyn when she attended one of the Society of Animal Welfare Administrators' Conferences and was impressed by her from the start! She was smart, funny, compassionate and connected -- which resulted in her achieving the needed improvements at CACC. I was priveleged to be able to work with her as we both served on the SAWA Board of Directors. I know Marilyn loved her family a great deal -- they were her number one priority and she was proud to say so.
