New London - Marilyn A. Edwards, 66, made her final transition May 3, 2021, at home. Marilyn fondly known as Mary was born in New London, Dec. 9, 1954, the daughter of Stewart Woodhall and Marilyn Rogers. Predeceased by her children, Albert Goss, Bridget Goss; and brother John Woodhall. Mary was married to Samuel Edwards.

Besides her husband she is survived by a daughter, Candace Woodhall-Graves; her sons, Muhammad Woodhall, Shan Gamble and Sidney Woodhall- Blake; grandsons, Albert and Dylan Gos;, brothers, Richard, Adam and Stewart Woodhall; as well as her sisters, Candace Woodhall, Virginia Murrary, Gladys Blanchard, Ann Johnson, Pauline Khaleeq and Edna Baisdon; and so many more she loved.

She was a unique, strong, and caring woman whose door was always open. She touched the lives of all who knew her. Mary will be forever missed.

Visiting hour will be from 3 to 4 p.m. May 22, at Byles-Groton Memorial Home, 310 Thames Street. Memorial service will begin at 4 p.m.

So sorry for your loss. I met your Mom at the New London Senior Center where we became friends. Marilyn loved to play bingo and go on trips. I always had fun with your Mom. I’m living in Florida now. Sending hugs and prayers to you all and your Families. She will be missed.

Mary was my neighbor for about 5 years. We loved her. She was the sweetest person you could ever meet. She loved the kids and my kids loved Mary. Sending love and prayers to her family in this difficult time.

She was the best god mother ever and a aunt I love u aunt Mary Gone to soon rip now I got 5 angels looking down on me and my kids u my two grandpa's and.my two grandmother's .. I miss u too .. love ur god daughter Kayla
