I was a student of Mlle Gibbons for three years, from 1968 to 1971. I still remember how she polled our class at the end of junior year to see who would take College French in senior year - a course she didn't teach. I'm sure I saw her wince every time one of us (who'd all been with her for three years) said we'd be taking College French and would be leaving her. I remember "Miss Gibbons" clearly and fondly from McAuley in the 1960s. Though I never took French, she was always very nice and friendly toward me. May she rest in peace for making the world a happier place.
