Not sure what to say?

My sympathies to Marilyn's family. My research laboratory was located down the hall from Marilyn's for many years. I have always admired Marilyn-- her intelligence, forthrightness, and accomplishments. I am very saddened by this loss. She will be fondly remembered.

Marilyn has been a cherished friend, mentor, and colleague. I will never forget our long talks and her wisdom on many topics related to work, life, and motherhood. I also loved serving with Marilyn for the American Physiological Society. Her enthusiasm and honesty were always refreshing. I miss you, Marilyn. Rest in peace.

Marilyn will be terribly missed. She was such a warm and caring person. We spent many hours on the phone just sharing life stories, laughs and tears. She was full of sound advice an never afraid to admit that she didn't always have all the answers. I will miss her dearly. I love you Marilyn.

So saddened by this news. She has been taken much too young. I have such fond memories of our wide ranging discussions when we served together on the APS Council. Marilyn's verve and compassion will be sorely missed.

Sending my love to Marilyn's husband and beloved children. She was one of my dearest mentors and favorite friends. There aren't words for how absolutely heartbroken I am. She took me under her wing when I was a new postdoc and was the most loving friend. She helped me when my daughter was born, counseled me in all things, and was always there for life advice. When she'd call, we'd immediately start giggling. She used to joke that if she had it to do over, she'd have wanted me as a mom but I...

My sympathies to the Goldman and Merker families. I knew Marilyn as a colleague at MCW. We started within a few years of each other. She was always passionate about education and her science., and enjoyed working with her.

Rebecca,
My deepest sympathy to you and your family.
Praying God grants you peace and strength during this difficult time.

Rebecca and family-
I want to extend my sympathy and prayers at this time and in the coming days.
