When I was hired at Bedford School District Marilyn took me under her wing. My office was across from hers in the vocational wing. She was like a big sister to me personally and professionally. She was great with her students too. Everyone liked her. We remained friends for years. This is a great loss to so many (including her grandchildren). Many years ago, when Marilyn was still teaching she had a student who was struggling. The student had a cat who had just had kittens and they needed a home. Marilyn reached out to me, and voila, I had two precious kittens! They brought me joy for more than twenty years, and I thought of Marilyn so often, grateful that she had thought of me. Rest in peace dear Marilyn.
