Dear Howe family, I remember your mother, Marilyn, so fondly. I lived next door to you on North Commercial street. When your parents went to church on Sundays, I babysat. Carolyn was the baby then. I loved the obit picture of Marilyn holding the huge bouquet of peonies...from her garden? I see both her parents Dick and Dorothy in her face, do you? As the first/oldest first cousin, I paid attention to the bits of news of Marilyn passed on through family connections over the years, although I only remember being with her at summer picnics at our Grandmother's house on 34th and Powell Blvd in Portland when I was about 6 to 8 and she was a teenager.
