Not many people had a smile, a laugh, and a warm heart like Marilyn. She was what was right with education because she cared so much about the kids.
She was a unique and loved person. My heart is sad. She will sincerely be missed.

I didn't know Ms. Hughes, but I work with her Daughter Shauna, and by walking along side Shauna for the past couple years I can tell Ms. Hughes must've been a special woman. Apples don't fall too far... God Bless.

Marilyn was a fantastic person to work with and a great mentor. She truly loved to educate children and watch them grow in the knowledge they gained. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. Her loss is truly going to be felt by all whose lives she touched.

Ms. Hughes will surely be missed by many. My daughter in law had her at Stanton Weirsdale many years ago. Now my grandson and granddaughter attend there and she was truly an inspiration to them and alot of other kids. Much love for her. My heart and prayers go out to her family.

Ms. Hughes was the reason I was a successful student. She was compassionate and understanding through my most trying times as a young child. She inspired me to be the absolute best I could be even when I didn't believe I could. She was a light in my life and I will forever miss her. I cherish all of my memories with her!
