WORCESTER- Marilyn A. (Durling) Hulbert, 52, of 238 Webster Street, Worcester, died Saturday, July 13, 2002 in UMASS Memorial Health Care- Memorial Campus after a 12 year battle with breast cancer.

She leaves, two sons, Christopher J. Hulbert, of Athol and Brian D. Hulbert of Worcester; her mother and caretaker, Margaret R. Durling of Charlton; 3 brothers, Michael E. Durling of Naples, Maine, Curt A. Durling of North Oxford, and Kevin P. Durling of Boulder, Colorado; 2 sisters, Patricia M. Pollett of Dudley and Cynthia G. Durling-Landry of Charlton; her companion, Richard P. Bickford with whom she lived; also survived by 7 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hulbert was born in Fitchburg, daughter of the late Roderic Durling and had lived in Worcester for many years. She graduated from Auburn High School in 1968 and David Hale Fanning Dental Assistant Program in 1969.

Mrs. Hulbert had worked as an Office Manager for the Central New England Endodontics in Worcester for 5 years before she left due to illness. Previsouly she had worked as an office manager for Dr. Joan Courtman, and had worked for Dr. Francis Cassidy in Auburn for 21 years.

Mrs. Hulbert was a member of Saint Joseph's Church in Auburn; a member of the Auburn Historical Society. Amoung Mrs. Hulbert's hobbies she loved crafts and gardening, reading and was an avid camper.

Mrs. Hulbert funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2002 from the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, (brittonfuneralhomes.com) 91 Central Street, Auburn with a funeral Mass at 11 A.M. in Saint Joseph's Church, 189 Oxford Street, Auburn. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, July 16, 2002 from 5-8 P.M. in the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Our Danny Cancer Fund, c/o UMASS Cancer Center, P.O. Box 2795, Worcester, MA 01613-9938 or to the Auburn District Nursing Association, 191 Pakachoag Street, Auburn, MA 01501.
