Not sure what to say?

Another year gone by. Yesterday I dedicated my performance as Quince to Alan's Bottom at Theatricum to you. Every performance I keep thinking I'll see you in the front row. Love you and miss you so much.

Well, Mama. Here we are again. You gone another year and me re-reading your obituary. This time on a train in Norway! How you would love that we are traveling again. How you loved to travel! Love you so.

How can it be a whole year, Mama? Miss you so much... but I am so glad you are out of that horrible pain.

We were so fortunate to have Marilyn for a friend. We are especially grateful that we were able to rendezvous with her at Marina del Rey in 2019. We had hoped to see her while we visited the LA area, and she arranged for us to meet at Burton Chace Park, explaining that it was a special place for Dr. James and her-scenic and tranquil. I remember how game Marilyn was when she showed up for a performance of "The Gin Game" early to participate in Grandparents Day at the Sierra Madre Playhouse. She gamely made a card with the small group in front of the theater and then stayed to watch her daughter Marilyn and son-in-law Alan do their wonderful performances in "The Gin Game". I was so happy to have known Marilyn.

Marilyn was a treasure of my life. When Nelson needed help with his new computer, Marilyn would invite me over for dinner. I told her she didn't have to cook for me, I was happy to help. She said she was happy to feed me. Once when they got tickets to a Shakespeare play in Chicago, they bought me a ticket so I would drive them. I ran the light board for a play Nelson directed at Stage Coach Players. Marilyn was the stage manager. After a couple of rehearsals, she stopped calling the cues and...

I will always remember Marilyn as exceedingly funny, and she always knew how to bring everyone together. I think that was her biggest gift. You will be missed.
