Not sure what to say?

She was a great help to me in prison ministry. Pete Haas

Remembering our dear Marilyn today. I came across these photos just yesterday. Marilyn was Daniel Penney's Godmother. Here are two photos at the Baptism at St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church, Skillman, NJ on October 8, 1998. We were neighbors in Yardville and I worked with David at Sarnoff. Marilyn and I volunteered on several big campaigns in the area; including the proposed solid waste incinerator along the Delaware River in Hamilton Township. Mercer County. Remembering this...

Mrs. Jose was an excellent teacher. I first met her as a tutor. She tutored me in math when I was in middle school. She was patient and kind and explained the information in a way that I understood. Later, I had the privilege of having her as my Statistics professor at TCNJ. Again, she taught in a way that enabled me to grasp the subject. In addition to being a wonderful educator, she was a wonderful human being with a beautiful smile. She is still missed.

I am so sorry for your loss! Mrs. Jose made a huge impact on the teacher that I am today. I often sing to my middle schools and ask them “Do I make a better door than a window?” When I accidentally stand in their way as they copy notes. Her humor and caring personality got me through some of my hardest days in high school. Sending positive thoughts and strength your way during this difficult time!

Mrs. Jose got me through my awkward, and terrifying years in High School, and she helped me get into college by writing a stunning letter of recommendation. We had remained friends since. She touched my life, as she had touched many others. She will live on through the brilliant memories that we all share, just like the brilliant aura that surrounded her anywhere she went. My thoughts are with the family at this insanely difficult time, and I will never forget Marilyn.

Marilyn and I had many wonderful conversations about prison ministry. She always had valuable advice for me.

Marilyn seems to have gone through life never without a smile or a laugh. What a wonderful memory to leave with the world. Our paths intermingled when we found ourselves involved in a Congressional campaign in the 1980s. My sympathy to Marilyn’s loving family and her many good friends. Betty Holland
