Krawtzow March 31, 1935 - May 18, 2017 MOORE Marilyn Joyce Maxwell-Krawtzow, baptized Maria in the Russian Orthodox Church, 82 years of age, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born in Scott City, Kansas on March 31, 1935 to William Harrison Maxwell & Susie A. Brown. Marilyn had a twin sister Carolyn and they were the youngest of nine siblings. The siblings were always playing practical jokes on each other. She played the bass clarinet and was a member of the Mixed Chorus in the Scott City High School Band. She was also a member of Y-Teen Club which coordinated gifts of clothing, candy and toys to several orphanages. She graduated in 1953. She enjoyed classical music, ballroom dancing and playing the piano. She met her husband Jacob Krawtzow at a movie theater in Wichita, Kansas where Jacob was the movie projectionist and Marilyn worked the popcorn stand. They married June 17, 1956, and they had six children together. Marilyn was a housewife and enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and loved to crochet. She loved dogs, especially her beloved Poodles. She also enjoyed camping, fishing, family outings and spending time with her family.Marilyn is survived by family members as follows: sons Peter, Jacob, Jr. and Alexay, daughters Kathy and Lydia, and son-in-law Brian. Also grandsons Nicholas, Andrew and his wife Carmen, granddaughters Sophia, Cynthia and Kristina great granddaughter Braelyn and Lileigh, great grandson Landon and Mason, sister Billee Jeanne Pfenninger and brother-in-law Ralph Pfenninger, and many other extended family members.She was preceded in death by her parents William and Susie, brother Maynard; seven sisters: Ursula, Agnes, Esther, Gwen, Doris, Norma Sue and Carolyn, her son Michael and his father Jacob Krawtzow.Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 3, 2017, 10:00 a.m. at St. Vladimir Russian Orthodox Church, 24 Tidwell Road, Houston, Texas 77022.
