Judge Loftus was an outstanding mentor to me and her advice led me to a judgeship. I will forever be grateful.

My deepest sympathy to Judge Loftus' family.

I had the privilege to serve as Judge Loftus' law clerk in the 1984-85 term. That was when she chaired the first NJ Supreme Court Task Force on Women in the Courts which gained national recognition. Judge Loftus was a trailblazer and mentor to so many. I am personally indebted to her as one of her mentees and will miss her deeply.
