VanderLaan Funeral Home - Hudsonville Obituary

Not sure what to say?

Miss Ohlmann was my first grade teacher (1949-1950). At the end of the school year the class was invited to her wedding at the Reformed Church corner of School ST and Vanburen. My mother took me and I got to kiss the bride. Larry, I hope you are enjoying retirement and you know the rest of the story. My sympathy to the family. Marv DeVries

I have so many wonderful childhood memories of Marilyn. She was my kindergarten teacher in the old white school. Our families camped together, far and near. As children we enjoyed playing in the big backyard and sledding on the hill. I too enjoyed many of her famous chocolate chip cookies. Wishing all who loved her, many happy memories and stories that will comfort your grieving hearts.

From living atop Hudsonville Hardware, to worshiping together at Hillcrest Church, to your Mom's years at Hudsonville Christian School, your Mom and Dad were a blessing and an encouragement to us. Sincere sympathy to all of you as you miss her and Glory to Jesus for her Eternal Life!

What a remarkable lady I can only hope that I am one tenth as devoted as she was to GOD LIFE
HUMANITY God wanted this angel

We all loved to take care of Marilyn and she would be missed. I loved talking to her about the “olden” days.
