Not sure what to say?

It took me awhile to know what to say: I knew you before I was old enough to be in the Drill Team but you included me anyway. You were my Teacher, my Boss, my Friend,my Neighbor, my HERO. Thanks for all the memories! You will never be forgot, expecually when we Dance or watch or children Dance. I'm sure Heaven just got alittle more rhythm, Because you are teaching them a new DANCE! We will Dance again someday, but for now we will Dance for you!

Dear Owsley family and friends,
I met Marilyn when my daughter, Emily, joined Rhythmettes. She was a wonderful teacher and role model for all of the many young girls on her squads. Her passion for the squad and each girl individually taught them all not to give up and keep on trying. She will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I knew Marilyn through drill team
when our daughter, Kelly, was a
Rhythmette and then started her own
drill team "New Attitude". Kelly
learned a lot from Marilyn as did so many other girls. Marilyn was a lot of fun and a good teacher. God bless all her family & friends at this time. She will be missed.

I had the pleasure to work with Marilyn at KPD. I remember having many conversations with Marilyn about her grandkids, and her love of dance...two of her favorite things. Although, I only had the opportunity to see her occassionally after she retired, it was always like I just saw her yesterday. My sympathy and prayers to her family. She was truly a wonderful lady and she will be missed.

My deepest sympathies to Mariyn's family. I met Mariyln when I was 9 and an eager young Rythmette. People like her seem so timeless and indestructable. So many of my formative years were spent under the tutiledge of Marilyn. She was a model of human compassion, artistic integrity, and motherly wisdom. My heart is full of thanks for her everlasting stamp on my life. I pray for her eternal peace and for the prosperity of her decendents.

I jioned the E-Kets at eight years old, Marilyn was my director. At that tender age I had no idea what a huge role she would play in my life. Marilyn taught me so much. I learned not only disipline but a true love of dance. She taught me to count music, choreograph, and most importantly she taught me how to teach others. Marilyn is the reason I teach dance and I will forever be grateful for her. She was an amazing woman and she will truely be missed.

I was a member of the Rhythmettes and first met Marilyn when I was eight years old. I remember how much she loved teaching and watching all of us to dance. She was a wonderful person and will be missed.

Our sympathy to the Owsley family. I first met your mom when she was working for the Clerks office and she was a welcome addition to our dispatch center. She was a true professional and a gracious lady who always went a step beyond to make our days better. She will be missed but not forgotten.

Miss Marilyn was so special to all that knew her,she was not only a terrific teacher she was a inspiration to all of us that loved the art of dance, we all learned so much from Marilyn,s kindness and gentle soul, The dance community has losed a teacher who truely cared about each and every student and always wanted the best for all of them, as a teacher I have learned that I hope to always follow the advice that Marilyn gave me several times and that is always have fun and show your love of...
