Not sure what to say?

Hello Parker family. It's your old neighbor Mike Wheasler. Some reminiscing inspired me to do a search. I'm sorry for your loss. I remember your Mom and all of you very well. I was so very fond of you all! (Even Shasta who tried to eat me once!) My first bicycle was Stan's old Stingray which Dad painted candy apple red for me. So much more is still very vivid. There is more sad news. We also lost Julie a few weeks ago. We had fun growing up together. And by the way, this painting has been...

Miss you "thunder". Will always remember your smiling face. Rest in peace. !!

I was a neighborhood kid along with my sister Ann. We´ll miss you so much. We love you Roger Skirvin

My mother passed in August and I am in Grand Rapid for a Celebration of Life for her. I was really hoping I would see Marilyn there but when she didn´t show I became concerned and saw online that she had just passed. I´m so, so sad. Marilyn was a huge part of my childhood/young adulthood. A friend and confident, supportive, loving, endlessly thoughtful. Whenever I got back to town I always stopped in the store to check in with her. When she retired and then I moved my mother to Milwaukee,...

I first met Marilyn while bagging groceries at Forest Hills Foods back in 1992. She was tough and kind and had the warmest smile you ever did see. Later in life, I stopped by every chance I could and Marilyn always presented a hug and that same warm smile. She worked hard but always made time to hear about me and hear about my life and meet my family. She will always hold a special place in my heart. To the family, I´m so very sorry for your loss. The light is just a little dimmer without her...

I´m so sorry I missed this news. Marilyn was such a special person. I started working at FH Foods when I was 16 and we have been friends since. She sent me cards at college (which I still have), met me at Cheddar's for girl time, attended my wedding, and babysat my kids. She never stopped giving and taking care of me. I was blessed to have finally had the chance to visit her in person just after her birthday. I´m so glad I was able to make that happen. She was an amazing person and will be...

John , & Family, we are very sorry for your loss. Marilyn was also very special in our hearts , & will always be fondly remembered.

As their Realtor I was one of the first people to welcome her to Grand Rapids. We stayed close and became good friends. I could walk into Forest Hills Food with a fourth party check that even my bank wouldn't take and Marilyn would simply hold up her thumb to the cashier and cash the check. We never had a problem with a bad one. She was uncannily smart about people. I will miss her wonderful smile and sense of humor. She was one of a kind.
