Not sure what to say?

My sincere condolences to Richard and family on the passing of Marilyn. I probably first met Marilyn on a PSU limnology field trip in the early 70's, and I'm sure Pepper was there too. Marilyn was reserved, but friendly to everyone, with a ready smile to share (plus she usually had healthy snacks for students to share). I was saddened to learn of Marilyn's passing and remember her with fondness and respect. My sincere condolences to her family and friends, and especially to Richard.

My heart is full of wonderful childhood memories and adventures and goes out to embrace each of you. Looking back on the years we spent side by side as neighbors and friends. In school, at play, on adventures and sharing so many carefree days. I treasure the volumes of amazing memories created over those years with all of you and your family. I am saddened and share your sorrow and loss. May each of you find comfort in the beautiful light Marilyn shines on you.

I offer my heartfelt condolences to Richard and all of the family. My husband John Cooper and I both enjoyed many cups of coffee in the company of Richard at PSU. While our family lost John two years ago I know he would have cared about this great loss for Richard. Please accept my deepest sympathy.
